Guild Quite a long time ago, Blackrock Legends was led by someone other than myself, and while we may have disagreed from time to time, we held one concept very much in common, and that is who and what Blackrock Legends is, both to us as leaders, and to each person that makes up BRL. She had the following to say back then, and its a mentality I entirely support and will continue to maintain while I lead this guild. I expect all new and current members to understand it well.

I want to make it perfectly clear that BRL is a home to people from many cultures, backgrounds, sexual preferences, and races. We do not advocate discrimination in any form. Racial jokes will be tolerated provided they do not become a frequent occurrence or aimed at offending a member. Sexist jokes are the same -- we're all adults here. This is why the guild rating is officially "MATURE" and we try not to accept members below the age of 18.
It is very hard to offend me, I exist in a "live and let live" mindset. I do not care who you love or what sex they are. It does not concern me if you are black, white, green, yellow, or blue. All I care about is that you are not a asshole to your fellow guild members and you do not upset the beautiful guild atmosphere with drama pollution.
Blackrock Legends is not your personal space -- it is shared by all members and everyone has equal right to be happy and have a good time.
You might not believe it at first, but I run this guild. I make the big decisions that effect its direction and its general health. I put in the extra time it takes to research things you would never dream were part of running a guild in "some game" and I work very hard behind the scenes to ensure you never have to know. I pay for this website. I keep it updated. I pay for the ventrillo server you chat away on, and I do so happily.
For me, running Blackrock Legends is fun. I enjoy it and I am very proud of the guild we have become. I believe that this guild hosts some of the most dedicated and wonderful people I wouldn't have been privileged to meet otherwise. These people deserve to have a home where they feel safe, secure, and enjoy spending their free time. I will do everything in my power to ensure the Legends always feel that they are here among people who respect them.
So, if you are:
- Someone who is always complaining or bitching about every little aspect of the game
- Someone who demeans other members
- Someone who thinks they are the "end all, be all" of raiding
Take heed of this warning: I don't care.
I don't care if you know that your class is bugged. I don't care if you know that your spec is better. I don't care if you were the "top DPS" the "top healer" the "best tank" in your previous guild. If you are going to pollute BRL with your words, disrespect your fellow guild members, or show by attitude alone that you're not part of the team -- then I don't care to have you in this guild.
This is the official warning so don't be surprised if, being one of these people, you find a hoof print on your ass pretty quickly.
The members of BRL deserve to be surrounded by individuals who enjoy this game, enjoy their company, and enjoy being part of the guild. As the GM of this guild I will make sure that the Legends get exactly what they deserve; that is my promise.
If you do not like the way things are going or have questions/concerns then my door is always open. I will give you my personal phone number and we can talk it over. I'll meet you for coffee and we can cover your new idea about the guild bank, the raids, the website -- whatever is on your mind. However, if you come to me with nothing but complaint, nothing but contempt or harassment, then I am going to solve your problem for you and it may not be exactly how you would have liked.
I am constantly seeking ways in which to enrich BRL and help it grow and flourish. I am open to new ideas and points of views. I want to know about the problems you face or think the guild has -- provided that you're going to help me solve the issue you see as important. This is your guild also.
My job is to act as the benevolent monarch with nothing but the guilds best interest in mind. I am not selfish or needy, the guild does not support me in some way. I give freely of my time and dedication because I want to, because I think the guild is worth it. Until that changes or we disband I am going to continue to guide the Legends in the direction I feel is best for the guild as a whole.
